We are only 24 hours into one of the largest Internet outages in history and small companies are getting beaten up by their customers for something they cannot even control. According to a anonymous source from Time Warner that posted on Slashdot the situation is very bleak and efforts to route around the trouble spot have not went well. I am seeing reports all across the country where small companies are caught in the middle.
The actions of Level 3 in doing this is beyond contempt and someone needs to call the Attorney General and have extortion charges filled against the Level 3 CEO in my opinion. This morning many of my partner sites and services I pay for remain unreachable either on Time Warner or Earthlink. Calls to Road Runner customer service says we are out of luck and their is nothing they can do. [News.com]
