Netflix and TiVo teaming up to bring rental videos on demand

The majority of us that have cable or a dish have the capability to do pay for view. I have always been very disappointed with pay for view offerings, thus we rent video’s on a regular basis. The wife also gets them from the library which is the best deal in town. But now Tivo and Netflix are proposing a deal where you can rent a video from Netflix and have it downloaded directly into your TiVo via your broadband connection.

This is a very smart move. I am sure the MPAA will be bitching along with the broadband providers who are going to forced to adsorb the extra bandwidth that this would create. [MSNBC]
