Apple Packaging

I must admit when I first opened the box that my iPod came in I was quite astonished at the packaging. Being I was on travel the box ended up in the trash quite a shame as it was cool. Seems I am not the only one that has noticed how Apple packages it’s goods. I just wonder how much that package has increased the price of the product I am purchasing. But hey I guess when you sell to a target audience packaging is important. [SfGate]

I am certain the cost of the design and engineering to get this product [as well as other Apple products] in my hands and remain usable has increased the price of the product.

It is easy for me to ammortize, say at minimum wage, the time and opportunities missed against any good deals a flawed product or and packaging, updates, and returns to the factory or retailers.

Surprisingly, Apple owners will keep original boxes in case they need to ship them.
