I have a Broadband connection in Hawaii and it is packaged with my Cable TV Service. I have always been pissed that I would have to pay an additional $10.00 per month for my cable modem service if I decided to drop the bundled TV Service and switch to Satellite.
Well in a catch 22 it looks like AT&T is doing the same thing out in Minnesota. I think it boils down to the fact that the cable company can not block the TV signal going into the house so customers get something for free by default.
There has to be some law these companies are breaking. I am not a lawyer buy a long shot but there has to be some Anti-Trust issues here. [Star Tribune]
